BN News Letter for Spring 2009
Forty Wyvern Members sat down to Christmas turkey at a local pub; from the buzz of the
evening the enthusiasm to move the club forward was as great as ever. 2009 will bring a new club house and a fresh challenge to increase awareness and membership in Ledbury. We are planning a full programme of events from a Therapy day, fund raising for the rebuilding to the Last night of the Proms; no need to go to Hyde Park we do it really well at Wyvern. Our Open day on July 18th is an opportunity for you to join us for a chill out weekend with a BBQ on Saturday; just ring to say you are coming and don't' forget the odd party or two, complete with dancing.
We are also looking to enter a pentaque team at Telford this year. Without giving too much away
we have a couple of serious players. What the rest of us lack in skill we make up for in enthusiasm.
Wyvern hosts a swim on the first Sunday of each month at Cascades in Tewkesbury, 6.30 to
8.30. The facilities are excellent, steam, sauna, Jacuzzi, with a gym for the more adventurous. Coffee is served during the evening which gives a social feel. Guests are encouraged and made to feel very welcome. Many of them come back again and again. Numbers do fluctuate during the year so please support us if you can.
